Is the cabin availability up-to-date?
Yes, the software updates instantaneously.

When are the check in and check out times?  
Our usual check in time is anytime after 3 pm and check out is by 11 am.  
If you select an early check in, you can arrive two hours early, at 1 pm.  
If you select a late check out, you can stay two hours longer, leaving by 1 pm.  

How do I pay for a cabin?
You may pay by credit card on our website or by sending a check to:

I have to cancel my reservation. How does your refund policy work during the Covid-19 pandemic?  

For all reservations created after July 1st, 2020, we have a new covid-19 sensitive cancellation policy: 

~ All reservations can always be cancelled within 24 hours of booking with a full refund.  
~ During these covid-19 times:  All reservations can always be rescheduled, with no fee, up to 48 hours before check-in.  
~ If you need to cancel your reservation longer than two weeks before arrival, you will receive a 90% refund.  The 10% we keep helps to cover our reservationists costs.  
~ If you need to cancel your reservation within the last two weeks before your check-in date, you will receive a 60% refund.  

For reservations created before July 1st, 2020: 

Cancellations are fully refundable, less a $25 cancellation fee, up to two weeks before your stay.  If you need to cancel less than two weeks before your intended reservation, we will refund 60% of your reservation.

Are pets allowed at the cabins?
Pets are welcome; our pets enjoy the area as much as we do.  We do ask for an additional cleaning fee to help cover the additional cleaning work usually needed after a pet-visit, along with wear and tear on the cabin.  Please let us know that you are bringing your pet when making the reservation.

We also wish to inform you that we have several dogs at our main office property.  

Lastly, please note that pets are not allowed in the Observatory Treehouse, Looking Glass or the Dome Town Treehouses - the ladders and suspension bridges are not dog friendly.  

Do we provide sheets, blankets, linens or pillows?
You are welcome to bring your own, otherwise we will provide linens for a $10 fee.  This includes a full set of sheets, a blanket and a bath towel. Pillows are provided in all cabins free of charge.  For cabins with pull-out couches and futons, please inform us if you would like additional pillows.

Does my cabin have a shower?  What about the lou???
All of our cabins are one-of-a-kind, and the washroom amenities vary from cabin to cabin.  Be sure to check out the webpage for the cabin you are interested in for more details.

What activities are there to do nearby?
There’s something for everyone in the Red River Gorge, whether you’re looking to hit the trails, climb a rock, paddle down the river or simply hang out and enjoy some time at nature’s pace.  And what better way to end a full day of fun than grabbin some local grub! Check out Miguel’s for pizza night or head over to the Rockhouse for burgers, burritos and brews.

Where’s the nearest grocery?
There is a Kroger about 20 minutes drive away.
It is located at 179 West College Ave, Stanton, KY 40380.
Local gas stations also have an expanded grocery and camping selection.

Will my cell phone work at the cabin?
The short answer is no.  At&t does not get service and Verizon’s is spotty.  We have a landline telephone available for your use at our office porch. 

Where can I access wifi?
At this time we do not have wifi available, though it is in the works.  We advise that you plan accordingly so you can enjoy your stay with us unplugged and in tune with the natural beauty that surrounds us here in the Gorge.
If you find that you do need wifi access, there are a few spots close by such as the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop that have wifi for their customers.

Do I have to purchase a pass for overnight parking?
We provide free parking for our guests in our office parking lot. If you want to park at Martin's Fork Trail Head overnight, you will need to purchase a pass (these can be obtained at visitor centers and local gas stations). 

Can I smoke in the cabin?
We have a no smoking policy inside of the cabins. Smoking outside is just fine. If we find the interior of the cabin to be suspiciously tobacco-y, you will be charged a $300 cleaning fee.
